Cursor cloud agents now start 3x faster through a feature called 'builds' that continuously prepares ready-to-use development environments in the background at no extra cost. Cursor also announced the Firetiger team is joining, with the combined team focused on building agents that can follow their work into production environments and fix problems that arise there.
The agents run in isolated Linux VMs, reading project configuration files and installing dependencies from lock files automatically. Cursor's Subscriptions feature lets agents monitor PRs they open and respond automatically when CI checks fail or bots post review comments, using a goal syntax that sets a standing objective such as keeping a PR merge-ready. When a CI check fails on an agent-opened PR, the agent retries fixes up to 10 times. Agents can also clone multiple repositories into one workspace to make coordinated changes across frontend, backend, and infrastructure simultaneously, and attach screenshots, videos, and logs to PRs. Cursor reports a PR merge rate above 30% on internal benchmarks against real production codebases where PRs must satisfy linting, type checking, test suites, and human review.
A Qovery analysis identified two enterprise blockers: agents auto-run all terminal commands without an immutable audit log, and RBAC is limited to workspace-level admin and member roles with no project-level or environment-level controls.
