xAI launches Grok Bot autonomous agent into public beta, limited to select subscription tiers

xAI released Grok Bot, an AI agent, into early public beta on August 11, 2026. The agent can sign into websites and applications without requiring a clean API or MCP integration, operate them autonomously, and return with completed work. Grok Bot features persistent cloud computers that continue working after the user steps away, supports multiple Bots that can communicate with each other, share context, and delegate tasks to specialist Bots including a manager Bot. A Bot can also observe a user performing a workflow, save it as a routine, and repeat it later while incorporating corrections. Access is currently limited to SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra, and Cursor Teams Premium subscribers, with enterprise access still on a waitlist. xAI describes the product as having originated as an internal prototype.
